For the record no root filesystem can be found on /dev/hda1 thats, 03:01.

For some reason lilo or it would seem its lilo, is finding a dos partition
instead of a ext2 partition, have you been plating with lilo.?

What happens if you use a boot or rescue disk ?.
Have you tryed.?
Did you shutdown properly the last time.?.
