HI ALL,
OK - tahnks for the replys - to answer some of the questions - the "other
stuff" comes before the kernel panic and NO - I did not mess with the
lilo.conf or even lilo for that matter. I have other kernels compiled and
when I try and boot them - I get similar problems - just some of the
kernels do not have all the filesystems and therefore do not display as
much of the "other stuff". Sorry for being so cryptic - it is just I
don'e have the words to describe the rest and at times there i a lot of
it...
/dev/hda1 is the primary boot disk and it boots from that drive. IE lilo
is installed on the MBR of hda.
ALSO - how do I get a hold of this rescue disk?? and how do I boot with it
- also "single user mode" - how??
