This is fine and good assuming he just wants web access. I don't know how
much you know about SOCKS and Proxy servers, but...
SOCKS allows for ANY type of TCP/UDP communications to be routed through a
proxy server that has a SOCKS proxy installed. This includes ICQ, IRC,
Quake, AOL, just about anything. SOCKS is not restricted to just the use of
a web browser. The SOCK implementation I have used for Win95 emulates an
active stack (Looks and feels to the computer just like a live dial-up
connection) so that ANY internet application may be used through a proxy
without the administrator pulling out his hair to figure out what ports do
or do not need to be proxy'd
