Geoff,
You will notice this is a NEWBIE list. The first post is a reasonable
question, If the differences were just software having a "Translator" is a
valid idea. Insulting someone who ask's a question to a newbie list, is like
calling a 4 year old who can't read a moron. If your mother asked about
curing a sticky keyboard, would you tell her to put it in the dishwasher?

To answer [EMAIL PROTECTED]'s question, The way Linux and most unices handle
hardware is vastly different than windows, and the API's in both o.s.'s
would not be similar enough that you could "Translate" a driver.
