The insults to the gentleman are unappreciated. The idea in and of itself is a
good one though for technical reason very bad, you could have been more polite.
A Windows driver is written to support the way Windows (obviously) works,  to
write a translator program would entail a horrible performance hit. Not to
mention another area were bugs could creep in. Native drivers are always the
best way to go.
