Hi Dominic,
I have this drive also and it works great. You probably have one or
all of the three essential parameters setup wrong.
If you are running Windows on the same machine check its recourses and
use the same thing, if not do this:
(1) Put a dos formatted floppy in the floppy drive and type
# mdir
Then immediately type:
#cat /proc/interrupts
You will see a line something like this:
6: 8 + floppy
The 6 is the IRQ (I've never seen it as anything other than a 6).
(2) To get an idea of which base address to use type:
#cat /proc/ioports
This give you all the addresses that are used, choose one that
isn't.
(3) Once again do with a dos floppy in the drive:
#mdir
#cat /proc/dma
You'll get a line like this:
2: floppy
Viola, all three values.
Make sure that the values you choose will work with the ditto 3200.
Also if you don't have the ditto dash controller board get one it's
faster.
