Hi,
just for making it complete:
I can remember that there were a couple a people having problems with
their parallel port several months ago. And a common solution for them
was changing some BIOS settings. In the BIOS there are special
parport settings: SPP, SPP+bidirectional, EPP and ECP.
They all got their drive (well, not your drive, but...) working by
choosing EPP instead of SPP. SPP for itself really can't work,
SPP+bidirectional can theoretically work, but practically - anyway,
EPP and ECP seem to the better choice (wasn't there one guy
changing it right the opposite way? Can't remember...)
Well, I just want to have mentioned that, but I do have much hope.
Ciao, Juergen.
