I've got the same problem. I use an IOMEGA ditto 800 under Windows and it
works fine. But under Linux (Kernel 2.0.36) the insmod of ftape
4.03pre2 failed. The modules
are in the lsmod-list but with dmesg (these command prints the last
modulmessages) I found out, that bpck-fdc.o gets an other as the expected
number 0x00 or 0xf0 (I think so). (was subject: IOMEGA ditto 800
parport-problem on this mailinglist)

Make dmesg (if normal or full debug-message mode is enabled in MCONFIG of
ftape) and see what it means.

PS: I hope anybody could help us with.
