IMHO, This would be great for many devices. Take Belkin's devices for example. The only way to make my FSU109 work is not even via the "Belkin" driver. But hey, it's a lovely hack! Congrats to the Gentleman that did it (with all of their research) about a month ago I believe.
I do feel that it is sad that people who wish to maintain a sane OS must perform this guessing game. I bet it must be pretty rough to receive a good specification just to write a device driver. <off topic> I have been looking for a simple USB GPS device, and I can't even get enough info from a vendor to determine if it has the PL2303 chip or not. In most cases, they claim "I don't know"! </off topic> Regards, Todd E. Would make it a lot easier to provide prebuilt versions for popular kernels (like specific distro versions). greg k-h _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
