This will turn out as a major PITA. Unless I am seriously mistaken,
patching the "right" places in a kernel shows up in all other places.
rml's preemption patches come to mind (which I happen to like very
much!). And I doubt any vendor is going to go through patch hell
using a CGI script. I know I would not :)
