How about using an old fridge instead of a wardrobe.  It's already stuffed
with insulation incuding the door, the door seals shut and you can arrange
the shelves to suit your needs.

Remove the condenser from the back (gathers dust) and throw the compresser
away (removes weight)

Knock a couple of holes in the back top and bottom and install large
diameter, low reving fans to move the air through.

And if you want to be a geek, you could have the light come on when you open
the door....
