I have had personal experience of this : a random sample of 50 corporate desktops purchased at the same time contained 3 with slightly different chipset revisions. As they were used in an IT training environment with heavy use of disc cloning this was a pita. A call to Compaq tech support confirmed this (slightly different mobo model used). DEC ? Compaq ? HP... time to get the labelling gun out again lol Andrew
