Hmmm... well that looks good to me... except for perhaps change the
Option  "Emulate3Buttons" "yes" 
to say
Option  "Emulate3Buttons" "on"
My one is a on/off option, not a yes/no option...

Hopefully that will fix it, otherwise i'm not really sure if I can help
ya sorry... I havn't met those errors before.

The other thing is after looking at your original post again, I noticed
this... 
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/mouse

The bit thats interesting here is that it mentions serial,... but the
protocol is PS/2... it is actually plugged in as PS/2 isn't it?
