I still couldn't look at the source code and learn from it - I'd
still have to worry about saving stuff using secret file formats -
and still have to trust that MS was as interested in being fair to
me. $0 isn't the same as Free. And OSS has everything I need - I'm
not missing out on anything by using it. So, I wouldn't switch.

I guess it'd keep a lot of people from trying OSS in the first
place, and slow its acceptance (business, education, governments,
...). But OSS would stick around.
