It works. It's a huge shell script which parses the output from lspci and 
creates messages accordingly. A simple solution to the "How do I get my modem 
going" problem.

I wish someone would do the same kind of thing for scanners and then there 
would not be any excuse not to use Linux on a day to day basis.
