If you're talking about the current article, rather than the one that came out 21 months ago, it doesn't actually say much... Being able to read dutch has it's uses sometimes.

It says that they did tests on 30 different brands of CDs 21 months ago and then put them away in a dark locked cupboard. When they pulled them back out, they were pretty much stuffed. They used a "professional CD-analyser tool" which "up until now has been reliable" to assess the state of the CDs. (See the graphic that was posted earlier)

They weren't very impressed, especially considering claims that the CDs would last much longer. For more info, buy this months magazine which also has a free tool to assess the state of your own CDs.

It is really just a short summary to get you to buy the magazine

Which is why decent brands are now no longer on the market. If anyone
finds a proper translation of the Dutch article instead of just another
mention of it I'd be interested in a copy.
