Hi there,

I tried reinstalling the redhat 3.2.x gcc experimental version tonite.
It installs, but soon as I try to scan it segfaults...

Iscan was developed on a box running Redhat 7.2, which looking at it is
a quite 'old' distro now. That is several point updates of kernel behind
the current, and also several point updates of gcc behind current stable.

Epson would be better to release a totally proprietary Linux driver
with the scanners...that way they do not need to rely on sane providing
access to the scanner, which is where I believe the whole process turns
to runny poo...
