For the period immediately following this email, I have
questions, but much later I may be able to contribute Linux code.
My requests:
1/ What is the procedure for applying the Update disk to Mandrake 9.0
using the console and perhaps avioding a download.
2/ What is the procedure for applying the appropriate Update disk to a
Mandrake 10.0 system My software will not tolerate my external modem, so
instructions will have to compensate. I am currently using Mandrake 9.0 and
have swapped often with version 10.0 without success. My software will not
present some of the necessary internet items on the menu and others items may
be missing. By the way, my Mandrake 10.0 is the community version
3/ Can you write an opinion upon what are the main differances between
the Community and the Official versions of Mandrake 10.0.
4/ What in your opnion are siutable texts as operations manuals for
Mandrake 9.0-9.2 and Mandrake 10.0
5/ What in your opinion are suitable texts for learning how to program in
Linux for Mandrake. I have machine language and flowchart skills but not
sufficient knowledge with higher languages
