Have just been to the installfest and have Mandrake 10 installed. I certainly appreciate all the effort for no cost that people made however I have come away wondering what the point of it all was. I have a laptop and my modem (winmodem I guess) does not work with Mandrake - various people spent some time with it. My printer does not work - no drivers. Hence Linux is not a hell of a lot of use to me at present.

Reports of the slmodem driver working with your model of laptop appear to be positive

If you truely find no value in using Linux and feel that you must remove it, the boot loader should be removed first and then the Linux install disc is used to delete linux and resize the windows partition. These tasks are best performed by a computer support person though..
