He's spent a lot of time sorting out the distro/winmodem matches that work, & will provide more detail.

I know he heavily favours the ltmodem, & am reporting recollected detail here.

where is this info please, it needs evaluation.

Make partition space free for SuSE install.
Test all apps incl cam.
Delete Mdk if no longer needed.

well its an idea, but I am not sure why suse would do any differently.

I have seen it running an ltmodem perfectly, on a box with USB ports.
I didn't test the latter, but YaST works better than hardDrake in my experience.


Mandrake needs script-level tweaking for trickier h/w, from what I've seen.
