if we were really paranoid we would not be using this open forum. you are missing the point, it is not paranoia to get hurt indiviually. the chance that something will happen to me is a fraction of a percent. it is fear that we are loosing our privacy in general. not me, but out of those billion people somebodys abuse will be made possible because of our increasing lack of privacy. THAT is what we must prevent. and it can only be prevented by making clear that we do not accept this kind of stuff. it appears that free software users are more aware of the dangers. no surprise, we are closer to the technology, hence we understand what is technically possible. it is this understanding that makes us appear paranoid. greetings, martin. -- looking for a job doing pike programming, sTeam/caudium/pike/roxen training, sTeam/caudium/roxen and/or unix system administration anywhere in the world. -- pike programmer travelling and working in europe open-steam.org unix system- bahai.or.at iaeste.(tuwien.ac|or).at administrator (stuts|black.linux-m68k).org is.schon.org Martin Bhr http://www.iaeste.or.at/~mbaehr/
