SuSE 9.1 (or 9.2) is also worth trying, if you have a spare partition (c6GB is plenty).

It is likely to run your modem with much less fiddling, and give you more programs with less need to download (initially).

More people on-List are using the current SuSE, which has been around 6 months = more help.

BTW - with regards to a GUI html editor. I use Nvu too but it is not much
different to Mozilla Composer which is probably easier for you to install
(just install the Mozilla package).
