Hi,
And the apic thing...? Anyone have a copy? Don't mind to give it a go
with SuSE... considering more people are using it... Just installed some KDE
packages in Ubuntu, and now it won't boot to Ubuntu (errors). Being raised
on MSWindows from a baby (practically), it's a big ask to expect to know
very quickly the system. Also, in configuring, there's many conflicting
programs/scripts etc., such as has happened here now. Also, the developers
need to coordinate more, and work together so as to produce a professional
product. Anyway, it is (as was said to someone recently) available for free
download (and the Ubuntu distro was given free). But oh the problems in
getting it all set up okay, and geting to know how to re-set it all up okay
again. Now it seems a re-install is required, and re-configuring! Sh#t!!!
Still haven't figured out what Nick did, and will lose everything he
downloaded for configuring the modem on re-install... :$ All that's happened
is that Nick managed to confirm what was already ascertained, that the modem
should (and does) work okay under Ubuntu/Debian/Linux. Problem these days is
that so many (greedy) people are trying to make a fortune from that which is
given freely, out of love, and compassion. Rascals!!! They will suffer for
their greed, much more than those who must witness (and be exposed to) their
greed. So, give it up! Stop being greedy! Have some mercy on those less
"fortunate" and who need the support of those "better" situated. Otherwise
there will be HELL to pay! So, back to the "other operating system" now.
Trippy! But at least it's working okay, at present. And yes, it is VERY
familiar. "Ignorance is bliss?" Don't think so. So, what to do? Where are
the competent experts to resolve all these crazy issues? You got them? Isn't
that what the list is for? Now there are heaps of emails bombarding the
inbox here (from other Linux lists as well), just in order to resolve a few
petty issues in getting it going on a couple of insignificant computers!
Sh#t!!! The other system is up and running, so, gunna stick with that for a
while, thank you! Didn't expect it would be such a trip to configure Linux
to work... :$ And now it's crapped out! Hey! Guess what...! Linux/Windows
or not, though foolish people think differently, there is NO life without
Hare Krishna!
Sincerely etc.,
Bhaktavatsala Dasa (Vatsala)
