Well, there are recommended guidelines which state that you should separate data cabling from mains cabling by at least 50mm, and ideally have a barrier between them (such as plastic trunking). I am using Cat 5e to distribute 12Vdc at about 200mA to a video camera. I think 24Vdc at a few hundred mA would be a reasonable limit. Andy
