Also , no one answered my query regarding the transfer of files
from /usr/shared/spamassassin to etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf

Are the shared files automatically added/used by the /local.cf file...or
should I copy them to the /local.cf file (in part / as a whole)?

The /local.cf file currently has the following showing:

# Add your own customisations to this file. See 'man
Mail::SpamAssassin::Conf'
# for details of what can be tweaked.
#

# rewrite the Subject: line with ****SPAM**** .* if set to 1 (default=1)
rewrite_subject 0
# report briefly, recommended for report_header==1 (default=0)
use_terse_report 1

Cheers one and all
