Oh the ear-bashings I've had from customers who didn't check their ISP-given email address so they didn't get their broadband usage warnings or credit card expiry warning. You'd be surprised how many customers think we need to psychicly determine that they have a hotmail address which they use instead. OTOH, if they connect through us we *could* sniff their traffic to determine what hotmail or yahoo address they use. Maybe non-techies think it's trivial to find out their actually day-to-day email address that way. My head hurts.
