Hummm.... reboot does seem to work some times.

modprobe is a wrapper for the a bunch of mod commands AIUI...

I did a insmod bcm43xx and it's given an error...

I suspect I'm being told that I need to recompile a kernel now with
other bits in it...

Man, I stuff up getting this HP laptop. Should have done a little more
research first, thou with HP being such a big oss supporter I'm really
supprised they're not paying for the production of 'drivers' and making
this process much easier - if you know anyone at HP, you might like to
pass on my thought that it's time I switched to IBM perhaps :)
