My thoughts are that the last setting set the modem to call out at
1200bps, going
by the sound of the outgoing tones
If the B references are redundant then the Modem should not have changed
speed with the last attempt (Should it ??).
After watching the Rugby at 7.30 I will change it and leave off the B
settings and also the DCS setting
and I will also check out the options file as you suggest.
Now I also assume that I am testing this under kppp and not wvdial??
last check was thru kppp.
