I didn't ask that actually, but it was running MDV2006
This might be a time for ppl. to get rid of unwanted external POTS modems, or
internals that are known to work under Linux.
I have a couple of external ones here, so I have no doubt that we'll get
him up and running so that any further problems can be sorted remotely.
