Chris, I hope you don't max out on hyperbole some day.  Wouldn't it be more 
accurate to say... "Never ever say anything via the international telecoms 
systems that you don't want the SPOOKS to know all about"?

I doubt most individuals (members of the "whole world") care about, or have the 
time to listen to, every statement that everyone makes about everything.  Most 
governments, on the other hand, needing as much "intelligence" as they can 
muster, apparently spend much money to filter out the noise and get to the 
juicy bits. (eg Waihopai near Blenheim).
 
Would it be a fair assumption that you think this statement is always false? -- 
"My communications are private."
