Our machines can be wiped...(in fact they will need to be)
  They are spare for projects.. so you can do whatever you want on them
(Would prefer not to open them up though... :-) )
We normally run fedora 14 on them but our install is configured too much
for an external setup. If you want pre-installed before you take them out to
Rangiora, we have a kickstart pxe installer but it would need to be
configured for whatever OS you want to run... An offsite install of our Fedora
kickstart has been on my list of things to do when I get some spare time ;-)

Let me know an full  "ideal" list of what you want (with numbers) and I'll see 
what
we can loan you. Any machine numbers are OK.. but wireless sticks will be 
tricky..
You know the space limits of the venue and limits on
transporting things  and how big you can manage and their wireless can support.

Maybe off list?
