What off-the-shelf mobo takes 4x 16GB of DDR3, for example?

Volker

Don't know about off the shelf... We are getting a desktop machine
through Cyclone Computers for a local robot/computer vision project
which is using a "Intel BOXDX79SR" .
http://ark.intel.com/products/65143/Intel-Desktop-Board-DX79SR
says it has 8 slots for Quad DDR3-2400 O.C
We are putting 8Gb in each slot up to 16 or 32GB with space
for expansion.

Mind you -- Intel are not producing motherboards any longer
I hear, so you would need to get in quick if you wanted it.

(interesting specs for our machine.. Fastest CPU Intel has
available... maybe overclocked... ssd disks coz normal disks
can't get the data from the multiple cameras fast enough)
