Hi all
I'm looking into e-mail and (eventually) Web hosting for a small
organisation of peculiarly non-IT-savvy folks.
The organisation's main e-mail account uses an xtra.co.nz address that
belongs to the departing secretary. The newsletter editor's account
uses an address in a domain belonging to her husband's company. The Web
pages, sadly neglected, are hosted on a subdomain of a former member's
company's domain.
We'd like to register a domain and have it hosted on an inexpensive plan
with a view to centralising the organisation's e-mail there and, as time
and resources permit, migrating the Web pages over.
What firms would you suggest we contact for domain registration and for
hosting?

(Relevance to the LUG: this message has been written on a MacBook Air
running Linux [FINALLY!] Mint 14. Seriously, I'm just looking for ideas
from a friendly group of people who know more about the issue than I do.)
