Take a look at The Kiwi Webhosting Company:
http://www.kiwiwebhost.co.nz/webhosting.htm

They are now owned by Orcon, but they seem to be still offering their original
service, which is not badly priced. Their $1-a-week plan is good value if
you have a small amount of web content and a handful of email addresses. You
can increase the level of service easily (simply pay more!), and they will
also register your domain name for $39.95 per year.

The advantage is in having an NZ based supplier. I use them for
my 'tinkering' website and I have a recommended them to a couple of others
who have never had any issues with them.

I am quite tempted by these guys though:

U$1 per *month*, but you do all the work.

Best wishes,

Andrew
