Hi-ho,

As a general rule ISPs in NZ are much better than the bulk/cheap hosting
firms overseas but my advice stands for NZ as well.

If it's a *.nz domain you can go to the DNC and get it resolved, but if
it's on another TLD and there's an issue.  Good luck.

Particularly as some of the well known domain registras in NZ are just
reselling from two-bit bulk wholesale registars in the US so you're
removed from the action as well.
