Dictionnaries? If they are dictionnaries following the DICT protocole
then they *must* be in utf-8, it is a requirement.
What dictionnaries are you talking about ?

The solution is to make them all understand the new UTF8_STRING way
of doing cut and paste (that way, the content of the cut and paste buffer
will be in utf-8, and it will be easy to convert to another encoding,
if needed)
