It can be a bit daunting for the average Windows user, switching to
Linux for the first time.  Don't let that put you off though.  It's well
worth the effort of learning and once you know a few basic commands, it
turns out not to be as hard as it first seems.   Personally, I started
playing with Linux on a live CD, which allows you to load and experiment
with Linux, without the risk of doing something bad to your computer, if
you make a mistake.
