Hi there, as a person with brain injury (not a fast thinker), I
installed Xandros 2 years ago. Xandros did, and still does every thing
that I want and was so easy to install right beside windows. 4 button
pushes, type name and passwords and there you have it. Since then I
have become very interested in Linux as it is so much more complete
than windows. As I am disabled, I have a lot of time on my hands to
play with other linuxes. I have used Redhat (vs 5.2 thru 9),mandrake,
Caldera, knoppix, vectorlinux, mepis and a few other distros.

My first Xandros was a magazine freebie without any form of
documentation and even I had it up and running inside 35 minutes. I
liked it that much that I purchased the vers 2 Business Edition which
I still use on a daily basis. Updates and Applications are so easy to
install and now you will not find windows on my 2 desktop computers. A
number of my friends are now converting to Xandros But I suppose
really different tools for different people.

The above is just my experience and although Xandros is a really good
version for newbies, it may not suit your needs. Shop around, if you
know anybody using Linux, ask them for a hands on demo.

Good luck in you hunt.

Regards
Jerome B Newell
