I did some Googling on this, and there are apparently some fairly 
advanced (forensics) ways of retrieving files that have had the node 
info erased.

Also, worth noting, on Red Hat Enterprise 3, KDE's Konqueror, by 
default, the 'Delete' function  uses 'rm', not the Trash Bin.
