  Hi,

  Go to system and open folder sharing.

  Then share your home folder. You can set read only or uncheck that to
  allow writing to it too. At some point it will ask you if you want to
  install samba to share files. If you do not plan on using NFS uncheck
  it. Once you have your share setup, open a terminal window and do this:

  sudo smbpasswd -L -a [user]
  sudo smbpasswd -L -e [user]

  Where [user] is the user who owns the home folder you shared. This
  activates the user for SMB use. If you run into slow network copying
  do this in a terminal window:

  sudo nano /etc/samba/smb.conf

  then find this "socket options" and make look like below:

  socket options = TCP_NODELAY IPTOS_LOWDELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192
  SO_SNDBUF=8192

  CNTRL+O to save then CNTRL+X to exit then:

  sudo /etc/init.d/samba restart

  and you are done.

  Sincerely,
  Mike
