Lots of cases from people like Gateway and Dell are put together on their
factory floor with non universal fittings are are almost impossible to
re-use. You need to look for discarded self builds or indepependant supplied
units discards.

cool I don't think I can get that amd board into the gateway box I would
have to figure out how to take the panel off that the onboard stuff goes
into because of ware the on board stuff is on the is a different spot on
the gateway although Robert was saying that gate ways set up like power
butane is different then on others so it sounds like the gateway case is out
it's a nice case though I counted the other day there is enough power
supplies connectors and spots in the hard drive area for 5 hard drives when
I got it it had enough cables to hook that many up but of course all the
hard drivers were shredded not sure if gate way built this has a server or
if some one adapted it to be one I know it is the tallest tower I have had
setting on the floor it all most reaches the top of the desk. so now I am
desperately seeking an older but Abel to fix up server. not sure around here
though we are in the middle of no were the hospitals the only real large
place that uses servers and has I said they sell hard drive free and I know
they just upgraded there servers so I talked to some one and they had to
give them the old stuff has part of the upgrade so if any one knows of a
server laying around needing a hoe let me know but I guess I can play around
with this guy has a print server.
Also, regarding your fears with hardware... Generally speaking, if it
fits, it's OK. If it doesn't fit, it's not. As long as a connector
fits into a slot or plug correctly, that's pretty much where it's
  supposed to go.
