I, on the other hand, have not observed such problems. I'm
satisfied with the stock kernel and haven't found any manual
tweaks to be necessary. Only once, during the reign of fc7,
did I have a problem with a kernel update (system wouldn't
boot at all), and that was easily fixed by reverting to the
previous version until the next update was available.
