Hello,
<<<
Each window manager has its own organisation : it is
fine for the freedom of creation, but quite difficult
to dominate for a newbie trying different wm.

I agree.
To avoid to have to many configuration problems,
similar to what you mention, in my LUG, the person
that install Linux for a new user, choose a wm and add
one menu item or Icon, that is "Joe menu".
"Joe menu" bar or icon, bring a list of all the "Joe"
favaorites apps, among them the ones the LUG supporte.
We can almost do some "cut and paste" to reconfigure a
wm.
We also limit the choice of wm for a first install.
Later, when the user feel comfortable, he/she will be
able to install what ever he/she likes.
Let me know what you think ?
Eugene
