I don't have any such file as /etc/inetd.conf. I checked and it seems that
I have not installed the inet services package itself. Is it important to
have it? Why is it needed? I have never had problem accessing the net
without it so far [if it is supposed to aid in accessing it].

My hosts.deny file has this line,

ALL:ALL

And my hosts.allow file has this line,

ALL:localhost

Is this okay? Mine is a stand alone machine with no networking stuff.
