Ah. I thought you were talking about "a person who has known the
UNIX / Linux environment in his entire life", which I see now was a
typo.
In my experience, though, the joe user can't handle major
sysadmin activity on a windows box either (installing, trouble shooting
when things go wrong, setting up SMB shares, ...). In most cases, even
for windows, they turn to a "knowledgeable" person.
