We have to be ever vigilant watchdogs and keep pestering and following up with govt deptts to become foss oriented-- one of the reasons why broadminded officers cannot get FOSS implemented is not only lack of awareness but also CONFLICTING responses from people they turn to --within the NIC (national informatics centre) itself. There is lack of credibility, competence and ethics with people/small time organisations responding to tenders and Requests for Quotations where FOSS is concerned atleast in smaller towns/cities.
