>From my perspective, one of the major advantages of Ubuntu is the LTS release, and I'd like to see a Mandriva release with 3-5yr lifecycle. As to your Kubuntu-9.10 installation, I'm guessing you'll be better off with the [k]Ubuntu-LTS release (10.04 now) rather than any of the non-LTS, which I mostly skip.
