If I'm not mistaken, Jeff, your only hangup on KDE is the kalarm. I think
you should check
out the different scheduling utilities available in Lucid's Gnome desktop. I
think the your kalarm
setup can migrate into one of those Gnome alarm utilities. I'm sure you will
find that Gnome works
superbly for all you needs.
