Your religion? The church of elitist local loop hackers? :) Sorry
couldn't resist.

Oh yes.

Right.

How is this ip space routed to you? BGP? Are you utilizing all that
space? If not don't be surprised if some of it gets reclaimed. They can
demand usage documentation at any time. Ping sweeps aren't sufficient.
They will ask for syslog/firewall logs etc. The resistance to v6 is
amazing. People will stretch v4 for as long as they possibly can.

Oh it makes perfect sense.

Exactly. This is why I'm getting a block of PI space SWIPed to me by a
buddy. Once I have that, I can also get v6 space from ARIN. I will have
two outbound connections (cable/dsl) and peer with the source of the IP
block.

I also plan a couple wireless local loops (verizon lte/t-mobile 4g) for
OOB access.

Very nice.

Yes!! I think a group in SoCal for big telco geeks to meet up would be
awesome!! It's an under represented group. Lots of VOIP enthusiasts, but
it's not the same. A piddly little Asterisk deployment for 1k or less
users, vs the amount of awesomeness that's in the telco infrastructure.
