That's interesting, Scott. Since upgrading from 9.04 to 9.10 I'm having
multiple crashes in a day on a Dell Optiplex GX260 (all Intel hardware).

The crashes were less frequent when I went to an older 2-button mouse
plugged into the mouse port... but I missed the scroll wheel and went back
to my usb MS Mouse. I've noticed the crashes usually occur while typing.
Between those 2 observations, I'm suspicious of the input section (keyboard
and mouse) of the X-server. I never had these problems on Red Hat based
distributions. And since I never had frequent crashes (multiple times a
day!!) under 9.04, I'm assuming it's an Ubuntu configuration created issue,
rather than a Debian issue. All guesswork, of course.
